For two and a half years, I produced educational videos with Prof. Bill "EngineerGuy" Hammack at the University of Illinois.

My work on these videos included directing, filming, editing, 2D & 3D illustration and co-writing.

In 2013 Prof. Bill Hammack, Prof. Bruce Carpenter and myself were fascinated with a machine we found on display in a hallway corner of UIUC's Altgeld Hall.

This machine, designed by the renowned physicist Albert Michelson, uses springs, levers and sets of gears to perform a mathematic computation that has become fundamental to modern-day signal processing: the Fourier transform.

We were so enamored with the mechanical beauty of this machine, that we decided to capture its history and function with a 128-page book filled with photographs, illustrations and explanations of how each individual mechanism performs a specific mathematical operation.
